I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a B.A. in
psychology from the University
of Texas
at Austin
and an M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Michigan
State University.
My training also includes a year-long internship in clinical psychology at
Baylor College of Medicine in Houston,
Texas. I was first licensed in 1976 and
have been in full-time practice since 1981.
I am a member of the American Psychological Association, Texas
Psychological Association, Houston Psychological Association and the National
Register. I hold a certification from the APA in the treatment of alcohol
and other psychoactive substances. I am also a Diamond Heart student and a
member of the Gulf Coast Diamond Approach group.
I work with adolescents and adults, but do not work with
children under the age of thirteen.
It
is my belief that psychological growth is a life-long process. It is my hope
that therapy will provide clients with the psychological tools they need to
continue this process on their own, once our work is completed.
